Unhappy Leeching in AB is not yet fixed

This has happened me three times this afternoon:

A whole group of player that are leechin together, I tried to report them, but it was imposible.

Please, Can you stop this? Because with a team leeching is imposible to enjoy in ab.

Thanks you.

Everyone should leech like crazy, and then perhaps Anet will come up with a real solution.

If I'm not mistaken, /report is disabled?

Umm of course leeching is still a problem right now. The /report feature was removed since it was only put in as a test feature. /report does work fairly well to discourage leechers, but you'll have to wait until the system is finalized again before you get rid of them.

At least they can't EoE bomb the whole group before the gates open anymore...

The /report feature was only in test mode a weekend or two ago, and has been disabled. It may or may not make a comeback, but if the results are 50% of what people nagged about, it may not see the light of day again.

Aye, whining killed /report.

On principle I'd like to see anet do something about leeching, however it seems no matter what they do, they'll get whined deaf.

The problem with that shot is that in the test it required 2/3 of your team to report or it would backfire on you. With that many people leaching, reporting might cause you more trouble than it is worth...

Agreed. So many people whinned about it without giving anything constructive (ie, suggesting realistic alternatives to a.net so they could improve it). Hopefully it is brought back though, bigger and better.

They can just bring it back as it was.

In a week the worst offenders would be weeded out, then things would settle, and people would learn a lesson in personal responsibility.

In this case, karma works. Abusers of the system would soon be taught a lesson, thereby making that part of the equation mostly irrelevant.

Now see... I've bolded where you went wrong (and I'm not just talking about spelling).

Get over it.
Leeching isn't that big a deal. So the balance of the game is lopsided. The balance of the game is ALWAYS lopsided in Alliance Battles as you don't know who you're going to be grouped with, and the build combinations could be all sorts!

From what I saw, the whining was done mostly by people who seemed to deserve reporting. How unfair that they should be punished for deliberately breaking other people's toys for fun.

Anyway OP, are you sure they were leeching and not just bad/inexperienced players in AB? You don't get any benefit from leeching if your team loses, surely?

No actually abuse killed /report

Also as I have been saying all along a simple faction degen for those who remain in the start area or don't move for 180 seconds would fix leeching no need to have the /report at all.

Well, there was whining on forums... That's proof, right? Why would anyone lie, or not tell the whole story...

After all, everyone has gotten banned for being polite and expressing disagreement in a very tactful manner.

Yes I do, especially when the said whiners are actually reported for leaving or leaching, yet crying about "report abuse".
Even after asking several times for proofs of false reporting from whiners during the whiners'weeks , NO ONE, I said NO ONE (and they were really numerous) was able to back up their allegations.
Which proves that they were probably reported, not falsely, but because they leeched/left/said profanity whatever.
Have to see a false report screenshot over the internet yet.
